DNS Frequently Asked Questions

How do I modify a domain name registered with a registrar besides 24uNet.net?

All the changes you need to make can be done from your registrar’s website. You're going to need to change the name server settings, which can be done by following these steps:

1. Go to your current registrar’s website

2. Click on "Manage My Account"

3. Login to your account and click on "Modify DNS Information."

4. Delete the temporary current name server information.

5. Replace these name servers with 24u-Net.com's servers:

Primary DNS Server: ns1.24unet.com

Primary DNS Server IP: 64.207.27.45

Secondary DNS Server: ns2.24unet.com

Secondary DNS Server IP: 64.207.27.44

6. Click on "Submit New Information." When you have completed these steps, your registrar will send you an e-mail confirming the changes. Once these changes are complete, after about 48-72 hours your domain name should be activated for use with our servers.

Will hosting my domain(s) with you require me to change my registrar?

Although you might save money by actually transferring your domain from your current registrar to us (24uNet.net only charges $ 8.22/year to transfer domain service) it is absolutely not required. All you have to do is delegate your domain to our Name Servers, which are:

Primary DNS Server: ns1.24unet.com

Primary Server IP: 64.207.27.45

Secondary DNS Server: ns2.24unet.com

Secondary Server IP: 64.207.27.44

This does not require changing your registrar, but will require you to do a "host" modification to allow you to use your domain on our network.
